A. you would LOVE it i have been working at the one in Portland Oregon for over a year now and they are great to me.. they do pay very well, i made $2.50 more working there than at Maurices... and for a college person that is a huge plus.. And also you get 50% off alot of the items in the store so hey you can go on a shoppig spree.

Is Gottschalks in Juneau Alaska closing?
Q. Calling them was the first thing I did however employees are always the last to be told their store is closing so I wasn't surprised that they didn't know what I was talking about but rumors are circulating that the store is closing and I noticed it looks like they are trying to get rid of their inventory.

On top of that she never seems to have the receipt handy. I'm temtped to exchange the sweatshirt i got this year and get her a blouse thats ugly and too small then saying i threw away the receipt. I got fired from Kmart. i'm applying for other jobs and i'm thinking if i should put them as a reference
Q. i got fired from Kmart a few days ago. i was out of town and i didn't know i had work that day so i couldnt make it. they let me go because of that. i really regret what i did. i should've looked at my schedule carefully. i worked there for about 4 to 5 months as a cashier. i had 2 jobs before i got fired since i also work at a pizza place(been working there for about 7 months) but summer's kinda slow so they dont give much hours. that's why im looking for a 2nd job again. i'm gonna apply at stores like JCpennys, Gottschalks, Mervyns, and some shoe stores. i'm wondering if i should put Kmart as a reference so they know that i have experience as a cashier. that will really help for a job like JCpenny's. but if i do put them as a reference… [cont.]

A. I wouldn't put them down as a reference, but definitely put them down on your resume. If they ask why you left, tell them the truth like you just did just now. You said you regret it, it was a mistake, and unless you happen to be not human, we all make mistakes and learn from it. The new places shouldn't hold it against you that much. Good luck.
