marks and spencers versus chain stores is there any comparison? - especially their woolens?
Q. I bought a cardigan in marks about 3 years ago it was expensive about 40 euros but it still like new and ive worn it alot. I bought cardigans in heatons dunnes and penneys as well as more upmarket shops and they all "pill" after just a very few washs. Has anyone else found this? I really annoys me when woolens only last for a few washes

A. I find the same problem, I use Heatons/Dunnes for cheap day to day clothes that I can "wear and wear out" because I have a ducks/hens/bees and 3 dogs to walk so I spend most of the day muddy and wet so I have to wash my clothes every single day. Comfort is most important, followed by practicality. I love the clothes in Marks & Spencers, they used to be quite "fuddy duddy" but not these days. There is a branch in Killarney and I was there last week grabbing a lunch deal (excellent value) but their clothes are so expensive I don't even try them on. Sometimes I pick up M&S cardigans/sweaters in the local charity shops and they are usually as good as new. I guess you get what you pay for at the end of the day.
