Q. I enter in this ps3 sweeptakes and i readed the rules and stuff. And i think i enter more than one entries in the sweeptakes. And the rules say how to win . A. Actually, that means that if, say, there's one winner, and there's 500 entries, you'll have a 1/500 chance to win. However, if one million people enter, you'll have a 1/1 million chance to win.

Q. What are the factors on which the power radiated by a hot object depends on? Thanks, ~NAPS
Asked by NAPS - Fri Jul 10 21:00:17 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Its temperature T, surface area A and emission factor E. So-called "blackbody radiation" is the mechanism by which a hot body radiates power. The power equals *E*A*T^4, where is the Stefan-Boltzmann constant = 5.67040D-08 w/m^2-K^4. For an ideal blackbody radiator, E = 1. A more reflective surface reduces E. Blackbody radiation theory is explained in the ref.

To what extent do you think happiness depends on liking where you live?
Q. Can moving to a more desirable location make you happier? I think I would be happier in general if I lived someplace with more inspiring surroundings and nicer people. However, I have heard it said that happiness depends on you - regardless of where you live - and that if you're unhappy in one place, you'll take the same problems with you no matter where you go. What do you think?

A. I bet you live in New Jersey. There's two sides to this coin. One is the "geographical cure". That's where you have problems you aren't addressing and run away from them. This never works. The other side to this coin is that communities differ greatly. You can travel 1000km in any direction from any location in America and find a totally different community. If you are in a community that's inconsistent with your personality, you need to be a fighter. You have to be willing to be the outcast. Like being gay in Texas. Some people aren't built on a fighter personality, so they move somewhere more accepting of themselves. The trick is to know which of the two motivations--running from your problems or trying to assimilate into a… [cont.]

Does anyone else hate how Bella is portrayed as a helpless girl who depends on men?
Q. Throughout the whole book, she depends on: Charlie Edward Jacob I hate her personality so much. I assume girls like the series because they wanna be helpless and depend on others too. Such a disgrace and a piece of trash. She also cares about LOOKS more than personality. For instance, she's always talking about how "hot" Edward's face or body is.
Asked by I hate annoying people - Sun Mar 15 14:35:05 2009 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Can't stand her. I think she's a terrible character for young girls to look up to. As for her frequent mention of Edward's hotness, perfection, and overall godliness, it's as simple as this; the books are superficial. It's not love. It's obsession. Edward couldn't hear her thoughts and he liked her smell - therefore he was intrigued. Bella wanted to do Edward - that's the extent of it. Then, when it came to saving her life, Edward was pretty much obligated. It really, really wasn't love.

The number of tropical fish that an aquarium can hold depends on the volume of the fish tank. The interior dim?
Q. The number of tropical fish that an aquarium can hold depends on the volume of the fish tank. The interior dimensions of the fish tank below are 29 cm, 41 cm, and 50 cm. Each fish requires 10,000 cubic centimeters of water. How many tropical fish will this fish tank hold?
Asked by funvonne - Fri Sep 5 00:05:14 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Volume is length*width*height, so just multiply all three dimensions together. 29*41*50 = 59,450 Then divide by 10,000, which is how much room each fish needs, and you'll find how many fish you can fit: 59450/10,000 = 5.945 fish But you can't have a fraction of a fish, so you must round down. There is not enough room for 6, so only 5 fit. Hope this helps

A. Humans are inherently curious. They will gain experience and will continue to experience more. Do you still remember what have you experienced when you were a child, say 4 yrs. old..? It would be hard to remember now. And you may not even know that by that time you experienced lots of great things that you thought you were just experiencing right now.. (are you still with me? ) And if we were to be perfect, maybe you won't be asking this question right now 'coz you would already know why. The human mind is so fascinating that it stores things that we experience and deletes a few(i think so)..well, maybe it's also for us.. because if we stop trying to have new experiences, then our life would be such a bore. The wattage marked on a light bulb is not an inherent property of the bulb but depends on the amount of voltag?
Q. The wattage marked on a light bulb is not an inherent property of the bulb but depends on the amount of voltage to which it is connected, usually 110 V or 120 V. (a) Calculate the current through a 90 W bulb connected to 120 V. (b) Calculate the current through the same bulb when it is connected to 50 V.
Asked by Sean - Mon May 24 03:56:36 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. There is a little bit of a trick in this. The power the bulb uses is dependent on the voltage and the current. In fact, power = voltage x current. But for a certain resistance, the voltage determines the current. (E=IR).. Once you determine the resistance, you can easily find the current that any voltage will produce. Since P = E * I >> 90 = 120 * I, you can calculate I = .75 a. Then you can find R E= IR >>> 120 = .75 * R >>> R= 160 Ohms Then, since E still = IR, even if the voltage were 50 >>> 50 = "I" * 160 >>> 50/160 = I But the truth is more complicated! You will not need to know this for this problem, but the resistance of the filament of a light-bulb increases a lot as it gets hot, With a lower voltage the temperature of the… [cont.]

Q. Quote whether urine is dark yellow or pale depends on how much water it contains , which is controlled by the kidneys to compenate for changes in the amout of dietary water and to regulate blood volume and pressure. Quote What does this mean? Can some one explain it better. Quote the water and salts are fillerd from the blood. So you are saying sugar in the urine or blood means the kidneys are going bad has they should be no sugar in the urine or blood ..

A. The color of urine depends not solely on how much water you are retaining but also the vitamins you may or may not be taking on a daily basis as well. If your body is absorbing most of the vitamins then your urine will more then likely be more pale in color, however if your consuming too many vitamins and your body can not use it all, the rest will be excreted out your urethra, leaving a more dark color.
