What is the easiest department store credit card to apply for with bad credit?
Q. I'm interested in applying for a department store credit card like Carsons, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. However, my credit is not all that great right now but I would like a chance to RE-BUILD it. Does anyone have any experience with getting a department store credit card but you had bad credit? I appreciate and thank-you guys in advance for your kind answers and intelligent business advice.

A. It depends on whether or not you have unpaid bills on your report. If you do, it will be hard to convince a credit card company that you're going to pay them. You might try local merchants such as American Eagle, or a jewelry store. They're pretty easy to get.

What department store brand should i use to dye my hair light blonde?
Q. I go to the salon to get blonde highlights in my hair but it is just so expensive to get done all the time. I would like to be able to just do an all over color of a light blonde but when i tried a department store brand the most it would lift to was and orange color. I want to be able to buy a cheaper one at the store. Has anyone had any luck with that? My hair is a light/medium brown

A. Get Garnier Frutis (sp) I used to use it all the time. And get the lightest one there is.. Keep it on for long enough so it goes thru its stages. You might have to do it twice with any department store brands cuz it might not come out the lightest you want at first.

Do you work in a department store? Or would you buy jewelry at a department store counter?
Q. I'm starting soon at the jewelry counter at a national chain department store. I'm afraid that not enough people buy jewelry at department stores but rather go directly to a jeweler and that I won't be busy enough to both pass the time and to make decent money (I'll be working for a base hourly wage plus commission). What are your experiences here?

What is the best department store foundation?
Q. I would just like to know what the best department store (like anything you can get at Macy's) foundation is. Also, I would like feedback about other brands you have used. If you know any good drugstore foundation brands, that would be really helpful too. Thanks in advance!

A. Hey =]] You can buy great products at Macy's and what not. I have tried alot of them. ( mother is a makeup artist) Then again i have tried makeup from Mac to elf... And Sure there is a great difference between them and their quality... I really like mac. but the price is Insane! but it lasts a long time. Clinique is really good, but i think more of old people. haha. since its more for sensitive skin. Shiseido, is actually my favorite brand for foundation. their coverstick is AMAZING, but its not really good for super dry skin. Dior has a great consistency and light coverage... I like channel as well but not their foundation. I find them drying and it makes sensitive skin peel a little. But okay, now for the little SURPRIZE! Have… [cont.]

What are the benefits of buying at a MAC store instead of a department store?
Q. I have heard that there are some benefits to buying cosmetics at the mac store instead of a department store like Macys. One of them being that the refill pans of eyeshadow are not available to you at department stores. Are there more bonus' to the MAC stores? Is it cheaper? Do they offer you samples?
Asked by Beanta - Wed Jul 29 02:21:14 2009 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. it's the same price and while both the counter and the store are supposedly supposed to offer samples, neither one really ever do. sometimes on the off chance though. sometimes. the only thing cheaper are those refill pans. they are like a couple dollars cheaper but you don't get to do the back to mac thing with them.

A. I did this for three years...put the lights on first. Start from the base, wrap it and work your way up, wrapping each and every branch, then get some large ties, and secure each ornament to the branches so the people won't knock them off and break them, or pocket them. Place the ornaments next, then put bows at the end of the branches. Work in triangles with the ornaments and bows. Place an ornament at the top of one triangle, then go down a couple of branches and place two ornaments, one in each corner to complete a triangle. Do that with the bows as well, it makes a gorgeous tree.

What are some good department store liquid eye shadows?
Q. I like having really dramatic eyes, and regular powder eyeshadow tends to be very subtle. I still like it for an everyday look, but I think liquid foundation would give me more bold colors. What are some good department store brands of it? I don't want to get anything super expensive from mac or something like that.
Asked by Jackie - Tue Jun 10 13:31:21 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Check out Revlons Molten Metals liquid shadow. You'll really play up your eyes with this shadow. The shadow colors are gold, copper, bronze, gray, platinum~~ these arent over the top bright colors either. Or check out Revlons Make a Sheen~~ its a powder but they have a great selection of sophisticated colors with metal accents. Before you go shopping at store, its so easy to look up Revlon & see what eye shadow products & color choices are available. Revlson isnt too expensive & its easy to find.

A. Department stores usually hve very high interest rates. They are meant for people who shop at that particular store on a regular basis. I would try as many banks as possible before opening a department store credit card.

Have you ever accepted a free makeover from a department store counter and never bought anything?
Q. How did it go? Did you feel awkward? I am really interested in getting some advice on how I might change my makeup routine, and especially to see first-hand how it might look, but I have no money in my budget for department store brand makeup. Would it be inappropriate to take advantage of an advertised free makeover with no intention to buy?
Asked by Brahbrah - Thu Mar 4 21:22:52 2010 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Get yourself down to Sephora or Ulta, the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Don't feel awkward about not buying anything, just let them know you're only looking for some suggestions. The best part is that they will more than likely offer you samples of whatever your interested in, and if they don't just ask them. Happy hunting!!

At what age should a child stop using a stroller in a department store?
Q. What age do you think is reasonable for a regular store trip to a department store? Nothing extreme. I saw a girl today, about 10 years old in one at Kohls. No there was nothing wrong with her, she was walking about then I saw her climb in the stroller. It just looked so ridiculously hilarious.
Asked by Yup* - Sun May 18 17:16:39 2008 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments

A. about 3 or 4 depending on the child really. my oldest son was about 3 1/2. my middle son 3. my daughter is 2 and is still in a stroller for the most part, but does fairly well walking along w/us too. she's not one to run off...unlike her big brothers, who did! lol my youngest son is only 8 months so he's either in a stroller or in one of those strap on carriers, (like a baby back pack). 10 is WAY to old to be in a stroller! but i personally think 5 is too old. at 4 1/2-5 y/o they should be old enough to walk w/you w/out running off like toddlers do. 10 is ridiculous, but i dont think it's hilarious. i think that's sad.

Why do department store cards charge more interest than credit cards ?
Q. I am wondering why department store cards charge higher interest than normal credit cards (on average). I also find that department store card's are less likely to negotiate interest rates. Anyone know why ?
Asked by gameboyxp20 - Sun Feb 15 16:54:27 2009 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I don't know the reason why they have higher rates but your right they are always higher and department stores will virtually never lower the rate. And I'm sure that's because alot of times they run specials on 0% financing for a certain amount of time if you spend a certain amount of money. Best Buy is very popular for this. I have worked for a credit card company and I assume department stores higher rates are because they need to make more money off the amount of money they loan because they are not doing as much business as these huge credit card companies such as amex, visa, and mastercard. Hope that helps.
